ICYMI: sex differences and personality

Scott Barry Kaufman writes,

On average, males tend to be more dominant, assertive, risk-prone, thrill-seeking, tough-minded, emotionally stable, utilitarian, and open to abstract ideas. Males also tend to score higher on self-estimates of intelligence, even though sex differences in general intelligence measured as an ability are negligible [2]. Men also tend to form larger, competitive groups in which hierarchies tend to be stable and in which individual relationships tend to require little emotional investment. In terms of communication style, males tend to use more assertive speech and are more likely to interrupt people (both men and women) more often– especially intrusive interruptions– which can be interpreted as a form of dominant behavior.

Pointer from Alex Tabarrok. I think that the fact that women are relatively more likely to be in charge of small businesses than large corporations has something to do with personality differences.

  1. Business is about relationships, which is why it’s dominated by females and alpha males. There’s simply more of the former.

    • Used to be that business was about getting things done/products delivered. Alas for the modern megacorp it is more about lobbying politicians, trying to wield regulation as a tool to shield your market from competition, agreeing to diversity quotas and hire “preferred partners” in return for vast amounts of government subsidy.

      • Naw. Business has always been about relationship to one’s clients, suppliers, employees, etc. Success in those relationships is how one even gets the orders to fulfill.

  2. The objective of Washington is to connect every single person in the entire world into one single comprehensive database, which records every transaction. That way, there can be no intellectual property crime; because everything you do is tracked, and billed to your account. Some women like this idea because for them, it implies perfect cooperation. Nobody will compete, and nobody will argue. And some men like this idea, because it represents a huge profit opportunity. So for now, the objective is to make women more assertive, so that they can implement this program; and to make men more sensitive, so they won’t argue. The “anti-hate” campaign is designed to vilify anybody who argues against a system of behavior (sexual inversion) which threatens the identities of little boys and girls. In the new order, those boys and girls will be assigned an identity by the State. So they can’t receive one from their parents.

The only solution to this quagmire is to remove females from the business and political scene completely; and then to develop a new system which is not vulnerable to a communist takeover. A Monarchy, in my opinion is the best answer.
